thank you so much for taking the time Ellen, not only to read it and comment, but for the conversation in the first place!

I thought I'd somehow missed your work as I LOVED LOVED your article on LinkedIn having a problem with women. So firstly, I'm glad I haven't but also I'm sorry what a lot to go through. And also don't forget that your version of perfect is very different to someone else's. To me this is an absolutely brilliant article - however imperfect you deem it - because in the imperfection is true human connection.

Claire - I can't tell you how much this note means to me. I'm going to have to write it down physically somewhere to remind myself to keep going when the imposter syndrome voices pipe up. Thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

I wrote this article in about 2 hours on very little sleep - the ones you've seen previously took me about 5 days (not exaggerating) with all the interviews and research. Spending a week out of every month to create something for This Women's Work unfortunately hasn't been sustainable because... of all the other work I need to do.

Which is why your comment is so meaningful. Thank you for sharing your definition of brilliant and the kind words about my previous work. Hopefully, there is much more to come!

You’re so welcome I’m glad it helped. I can imagine how much work went into some of the more investigative pieces - they went deep. But that doesn’t mean this is any poorer for it - just different. Anyway, really glad that this was helpful because I do really enjoy your work - and I’m certain others do too!

Hazel! it was lovely to chat with you today - love how you summed up the meta theme of the conversation so succinctly. Funny how we were all feeling exactly the same...

Ah thank you Gail - at 1500 words it didn't feel succinct but I'm glad it resonated. I was so grateful to be in the virtual room with you all and have that conversation!

Thank YOU for holding the space for the conversation in the first place Dominique - and for the absolute gift of your beautiful writing. You've helped me get unstuck and be braver.

(and yes I wasn't going to waste those moon boots sitting around at home where nobody could see them!).
